Taking a revolutionary healthcare startup to market
Resonate Health is a groundbreaking startup that’s reshaping the look, sound, and feel of New Zealand’s hearing health industry. The company was founded with a clear goal: to empower individuals to embrace healthy ageing. But this was no simple undertaking. The traditional approach to hearing health, despite its drawbacks, has been long maintained across the world. If change was to occur, it had to be purposeful, disruptive, and resonant.
N4 was engaged to lead Resonate Health’s branding, web design, web development, and marketing. As a key partner in bringing the startup to market, we provided holistic support that encompassed early strategic decision-making through to the development of robust digital solutions. It became our mission to enhance the overall hearing care experience.

Disrupting tradition in a highly competitive market
The existing systems and processes of the hearing health industry were inherently flawed in that they didn’t put the customer first. It was often challenging enough to know what type of support you needed, let alone where to get it and what work was involved thereafter. But while change was undoubtedly necessary, it was not so straightforward to implement in a competitive market.
This challenge posed a great question: how could Resonate navigate the hearing health landscape while prioritising the customer experience? In response, our team closely studied the market as it was, the pain points of both customers and clinicians, and opportunities for purposeful innovation.
Shaping a customer-centric future for hearing health
N4 embraced the dynamic nature of the startup ecosystem, working adaptively with the Resonate team to pave the future of hearing health. With this highly collaborative approach, we co-created a customer-centric solution that addressed critical issues in the hearing care landscape.
Our approach was grounded in research and insightful data, with an aim to promote healthy ageing to a wider audience. Part of achieving this objective required raising the industry’s accessibility standards and changing the social narrative. These elements had a significant influence on the brand development, website design, website development, and marketing strategy, leading us to a successful market launch amidst fierce competition.
Raising the industry’s accessibility standards
Resonate’s offering provides more than a single solution to hearing issues. Instead, the startup empowers individuals to be proactive and take action sooner to protect their well-being. Accessibility is a top priority, and this value is reflected throughout Resonate’s website design and branding.
As a Webflow Enterprise Partner, N4 is committed to upholding web accessibility standards. In the process of developing Resonate’s website, we prioritised user-first web design principles, inclusive messaging, and accessibility to individuals with visual or hearing impairments.
Changing the social narrative
By applying an inclusive approach to our design thinking, we sought to foster a culture of empowered individuals — no matter their age, background, or abilities. With Resonate, hearing health looks different. The narrative is changing.
