A digital clubhouse for golf obsessive

Fried Egg Golf is a much-loved voice in the golf community, delivering in-depth course profiles, weekly updates, and podcast conversations for everyone - from the weekend player to the full-time professional.

When they approached N4, Fried Egg had one clear goal: to elevate their digital experience while migrating 2,500+ pages and hundreds of content galleries from WordPress to Webflow. It would be a complex migration, requiring careful handling, and we set out to ensure no detail was lost. Nothing left behind, not even a fried egg.

(01) Overview

(02) challenge

Migrating content without missing a beat

The scale of the Fried Egg archive was immense - 2,595 articles, 985 image-rich content blocks, and over 150 unique golf course galleries. Every asset needed to be moved, restructured, and reconnected, all without compromising quality or SEO.

Although our goal wasn’t just to move the content, but to elevate it. We needed to ensure that every asset landed exactly where it should, wrapped in a faster, cleaner, more intuitive experience that respected the brand’s integrity and sharpened its digital edge.

(03) Solution

A seamless shift from WordPress to Webflow

In order to create a seamless transition to Webflow, and to enable seamless transitions for other clients in future, we took to building a dedicated Wordpress to Webflow migration app.

Alongside this process, we created bespoke slider galleries, powered by the content blocks embedded in Webflow’s article CMS. This design feature was used strategically to bring Fried Egg’s course profiles to life, integrating seamlessly with the site architecture.

(03) Solution

Custom member experience

During the project, Fried Egg also took a major step forward in growing their digital clubhouse - this time, by improving the membership experience.

This involved developing a custom membership implementation that allows users to sign up, manage profiles, engage with comments, post their own content, and access exclusive content and events - all seamlessly on-site.

Play and explore, without pause

To boost engagement, we developed a custom picture-in-picture player that allows users to browse the site while simultaneously engaging with podcasts and video content.

Whether streaming from Spotify or YouTube, this feature keeps the user journey uninterrupted, delivering a smooth, immersive experience for Fried Egg’s passionate golf audience.

“This one was special. We found the sweet spot between design and personality, letting Fried Egg be Fried Egg. I loved getting swept up in the imagery and content as we designed. Working with Beau and the team was a joy. It felt like building something sharp, unexpected, and full of character. The result is a site that feels alive and totally their own.”
